The study aims to determine the accuracy of the algorithm and develop software for caries detection. The study included consenting adults with permanent dentition and collected 300 photos of the occlusal surfaces. The algorithm achieved a high precision and recall rate in detecting caries. The study suggests that the algorithm could be useful in teledentistry and improve access to care.
